Kalari Training
Kalari training beings with a series of warm-up exercises to prepare for stretching, strengthening, mobility, static postures and powerful dynamic movement. The pace beings slowly and builds in mental and physical difficulty then tapers off to finish the class. Movements are tailored to each person, making the practice accessible to participants of various skill levels and abilities. We encourage all skill levels to attend the same class sessions, just as they do in India. That does not mean everyone is working on the same thing but we are practicing together which opens the doors to camaraderie and a more flexible learning environment. Class sessions are around 60 to 90 minutes; Practitioners get a dynamic workout for the body and mind like no other.

Kalari and Yoga Relationship
Kalari and Yoga complement them selves very well, there is no need to try to blend them, they are independent systems. Students have described how Kalari has improved their Yoga practice and vice versa. Others have said “they found in Kalari what they had been looking for in Yoga “. Many Kalari practitioners have a Yoga background; It is similar in that we are interacting with the energetic body and are lengthening and strengthening the muscles. Experiencing the activation of Ida, Pingala and the Sushumna Nadis also know as the rising of Kundalini is very common. The practice works with the Vayus, Chakras, Bandas, Nadis and Marmas. Its not important to know these terms and what they do; the Kalari practice it self is what matters.
